I believe in drills, time consuming homework and daily studying. That's how I was able to learn English, move on my own across the world to the US seven years ago, acquire American education and establish my life here.

Svetlana is a wonderful teacher, puts you at ease right away. We went through lots of material for the first lesson.
Another excellent lesson. Svetlana always finds and addresses areas that need improvement and patiently works through them with you. The lessons can be challenging but they are still fun.
Svetlana is a very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient tutor. She presents an excellent approach and provides useful tools for learning Russian. She focuses on learning grammar and language fundamentals, building vocabulary, and working on proper pronunciation. Practice, practice, practice! We review and test materials during the sessions, she introduces new material that builds on what I have learned, and presents a clear action plan with homework for me to work on between sessions. She is very disciplined, challenges me appropriately, and is personable and a real pleasure to work with!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
