Kutztown (Elementary education)
I am a 2nd/3rd grade teacher who is extremely eager and wanting to educate children! I graduated from Kutztown University with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education K-6 and a concentration in Reading.
Immediately after graduating, I obtained a job at my current school. My educational career began as a Kindergarten Instructional Support Teacher. Within the past several years, I have had experience in all grade levels k-6. I spent a decent amount of time in kindergarten, first, third, fourth, and fifth grade in which I taught across the curriculum. I also spent several months as a math specialist, and after school tutor. All of these opportunities have given me so much more knowledge and experience in the field of elementary education.
I have a true desire to educate school aged children, and find enjoyment in watching them grow. I am willing to work with you and your child to make sure you are fully satisfied and seeing results. I am very flexible and can provide make-up or extra classes. I can provide background checks and clearances, I look forward to talking with you! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
