I have experience in solving engineering problems using mathematics and in presenting the problems and solutions to others. My academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

My engineering jobs were with Douglas Aircraft and Westinghouse Electric Corp. I

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

My qualifications include Valedictorian of my high school senior class, a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering, a Master of Science in Mechanical engineering. My employer for 33 years is the Westinghouse Electric Corp. where I achieved several awards and promotions in the Nuclear electric power industry. I made many presentations to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and customers for our products. Algebra is the first and vital step to understanding science. Mathematics is the language of the physical world. The solving of physical problems that have had none is exciting and rewarding. I look forward to helping someone who is starting on that path.

In Algebra II we are presented with the several techniques to solve polynomials of higher order, linear equations, inequalities, logarithmic functions, series and matrices, and the concept of the "limit" which is the basis for calculus. Algebra II is loosely defined as a separate subject from Algebra I. The total scope of Algebra I and II is the mathematical basis for proceeding to analytical geometry and calculus. My mathematical training in aeronautical engineering at the University of Michigan qualifies me for Algebra I and II.

I took geometry in high school, analytical geometry and solid geometry at the University of Michigan. I was valedictorian in high school and received a Bachelor of Science in aeronautical engineering from the university. Geometry translates the shape, sizes, and volumes of figures and objects into a mathematical language that enabled us to design and create such things as Apollo 13 and nuclear submarines. I'd like to tutor you in geometry.
