My name is Linda and I am currently a certified teacher (K-12) in the state of Oregon, with endorsements in special education, ESOL, and math. During the course of my teaching career I have taught life skills classes, delivered specially designed instruction to students from kindergarten through grade twelve, and have taught ELL classes in grade school and middle school. I have also taught high school geography, government, consumer math, title math in middle school, and study skills classes. Currently I teach ELD and special education classes in an elementary school.
I continue to expand my educational expertise through the pursuit of a doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership. I hope to complete this program by the beginning of the year in 3013. I love learning, and am continually seeking new sources of instructional materials and strategies which will enhance my teaching ability. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a MAT with an endorsement in special education, certified to teach k-12. I have instructed students with ADHD successfully for the past 4 years. I have had experience with students with ADHD in elementary, middle, and high school settings. Parents and other teachers have commented on my patience in teaching students with ADHD, and the encouragement I have given to them. I enjoy working with students with ADHD.
I am certified as an ESOL and Special Education teacher, k-12, in the state of Oregon. I currently tutor a student in 9th grade. Additionally, I have tutored for after school programs in the grade schools for three years. I currently tutor students k-8 with Educate Online, and online tutoring service.

I have taught students with special needs in a high school, middle school, and elementary school setting. I enjoy teaching and assisting students with special needs.
