When a person enjoys a subject, learning comes much easier. I enjoy teaching and tutoring geology in a way that is fun and informative. I try to relate topics to everyday situations so that the student can make a connection with how the concept can be applied and used and why it is important. Geology is one subject where visual aids are very important in the learning process, I enjoy using visual aids as much as possible. I recently graduated from Missouri State University with a Master's degree in Geospatial Science with and emphasis in Environmental Geology. At MSU I taught three sections of Geology 110 lab each semester and really enjoyed making connections and helping each student as an individual. I have knowledge of geomorphology, structural geology, optical mineralogy, geophysics, fluvial geomorphology, glacial geology, hydrology, igneous and metamorphic petrology, and stratigraphy, sedimentology. I look forward to meeting with you and would love the chance to help in your learning process.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
