While I absolutely love my current job, I will be relocating to the Sheridan area by November of this year, and would be honored to be considered as a tutor.

I have over 10 years of experience working with children, as well as over 3 years working with Lifeskills/Special Needs students and general education students.

For several years I owned and operated my own home-based daycare prior to obtaining my Teaching Assistant certificate. I began substitute teaching for both general educations and Life Skills students in 2013.

For the past 3 years, I have worked at Gouverneur High School as a Teacher’s Assistant, in the Special Education Lifeskills 12:1:1 classroom, under the direction of Crystal Snyder, and as a Job Coach under the direction of Joshua Stamp. There, I have worked with a variety of children, including those with Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS), and Other Health Impairments (OHI).

I have a working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and have also worked for the past three years as a job coach, helping students learn how to work on sites within the school, and in the community. I have attended a multitude of educational seminars, and am always willing to learn. I have been CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certified since 2015, attended monthly refreshers, and was tested once a year to keep the certification. I am also CPR trained and certified.

I understand the rules of confidentiality, and am confident in my abilities and able to work well with others. I am also loyal and trustworthy, understanding that I represent my place of work both on site, as well as off.

I appreciate you taking the time to read my application and everything that goes along with it.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

I have a lot of interests, including horseback riding and horse training, working as a freelance fine artist and graphic designer, outdoor activities such as kayaking and hiking, and singing and performing.
