I started teaching English 20 years ago and ever since then, I realized that learning a new language is not only about learning vocabulary and grammar. It is also about understanding the culture of the people native to such language. I focus in maximizing the students’ performance, inspiring them to get the culture, and start thinking or, even, dreaming in the new language.
I am a true believer in the fact that reading, music and movies help students learn faster and improve vocabulary, grammar and spelling. That is why I strongly encourage students to watch movies, listen to music and read in the language they are learning.
I have a 20 year experience teaching languages. I was the owner of a language school in Mexico, where we would teach English and French as second languages. I have prepared people for the TOEFL, with excellent results and for the First Certificate of English from the University of Cambridge.
I have the highest grade of English according to the Advanced Certificate of English from the University of Cambridge.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
