My name is Shinjae and I am here to work with you to improve your Korean or Japanese language! I am a native Korean and I live In Salem, Oregon with my wife and baby daughter. If you do not live in Salem, we can do lessons over Skype. My English is not perfect, but I do not think that is a problem. We can work together on something that interests you so you will enjoy learning.
I am taking English as a Second Language class now, and I am fluent in Japanese, so I understand how to help basic language learners learn best. I also volunteered to do English/Korean language exchange when I lived in Korea. The best way to learn is to study subjects that a student enjoys or is interested in. We can work from a textbook or other media if that is how you learn best.
Please contact me if you are interested in Korean language or want to learn more about Korean culture!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a native Korean speaker, so I am fluent in the Korean language. I am also taking English as a Foreign Language so I have several books that are bi-lingual that can help beginning level learners if they do not have their own materials. I also have many other "Learning Korean" books that I can use to help students, and have experience using them as a volunteer tutor when I lived in Korea. I have an Associate's Degree in Japanese language as well.
