I actually teach Psychology, but I also do quite a bit of math tutoring because I really love math, and love helping people with it! I've been tutoring various kinds of math an average of 5 - 10 hours a week for about 10 years now. I love tutoring math because I get to spend time talking about something I'm enthusiastic about anyway. But even more important is helping people to understand math, and get over their anxiety and develop confidence in their math ability.

I understand math anxiety. Unfortunately, having to understand the math right away to get a good test score, pass a class, etc. makes math really stressful for a lot of folks. It sometimes leads to self-doubt regarding math ability or even intelligence. It is great to see people get over that. That is what I probably enjoy most about this work.
People say that I'm very patient, kind, and supportive, and that I explain things very well. That, and that I'm as flexible and accommodating regarding scheduling as I can be, and willing to go the extra mile for my students.
So, especially if you are feeling anxious about whatever math course you are taking, or whatever test you are studying for, I hope you'll contact me and set up a session!
Currently, I am only doing online tutoring.
