BA from Portland State University (French)
Salut! I'm a current Senior at Portland State University working towards a double degree in French and International Development Studies with a focus on African History. Having spent the past year abroad studying immersive French in Paris, France and Dakar, Senegal with a 3.98 GPA, I'm excited to bring my multi-cultural understanding of French and francophone cultures to a tutoring setting. I'm currently working part-time at a French immersion preschool, where I'm constantly increasing my fluency by working alongside native speakers from all over the world.
I'm interested in helping students make progress on their homework and to make core grammar concepts easily accessible. One thing I enjoy is introducing my students to a new francophone music artist at each session. Individual lesson plans can be formulated if additional structure is needed.
Lacking a car, I can meet anywhere downtown or within a few mile radius depending on the meeting time. I'm available most evenings and early mornings, though my schedule is fairly flexible and we can work towards finding a time that meets both of our needs. As I am a beginning tutor, my base rate is $25/hour.
I look forward to hearing from you and working towards your own academic success!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
