Hey, My name is Connor. I am 26, and I have a Masters in Physics, offering science and math tutoring in the Portland area. I taught Introductory Physics I labs for three years at the college level, both Cal-based and Non-cal-based. In addition, I've also privately tutored all levels of Physics (Concepts, Intro 1 and 2, Cal-based and Non-cal-based) over the last three years. Before that, I worked in a tutoring lab for three additional years. My Bachelors is in Physics and Philosophy with a double minor in Biology and Chemistry. Back in the day, I was planning on attending Dental School, but dropped out when I realized I had a passion for teaching. I love teaching and talking to pre-health students, though. All of my tutoring has been at the college level, but realistically I could also tutor high school, especially for admissions tests like the ACT and SAT. Full list of classes for which I can tutor: Introductory Physics I and II, Trig-based or Cal-based, Introductory Math Courses, Calculus, SAT and ACT Math (received a 780 and 34 respectively). GRE Math (169), the DAT (dental admissions test: received 23 AA, 22 SA, 22 Perceptual), General and Organic Chemistry, and Introductory Biology. Aside from tutoring I do research remotely, for which the hours are very flexible. I am flexible as to where and when I can meet.
ACT Math: 34, SAT Math: 780, GRE Math: 169. Have taken through Differential Equations 1.
Have Physics M.S. Taught Physics 1 labs for two and a half years, and have tutored physics at all levels for six years.
Verbal: 162, Math: 169, Writing: 4.5

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a B.S. and an M.S. in Physics, and I taught Physics I labs (Cal-Based and non-Cal-Based) for two and a half years. I've also tutored physics, both private and in the classroom at all levels, for six years. Additionally, I've taken a Physics Pedagogy course, which covered the most effective ways to teach physics.
