About Natalie

I have taught preschool, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and will be teaching 4th grade this upcoming school year. I am certified, and I have experience with Common Core as well as teaching reading in various stages of development. I love being a teacher and helping children realize they are capable of success. I decided to become a teacher after tutoring students in ESOL and still love to teach English as a second language. I have done one-on-one tutoring in reading and math since becoming a teacher and believe that every student can be successful when given the tools that they need. All children learn differently and the key to helping your child become a life-long learner is finding the way in which he/she learns best.

I have taught math from preschool to 2nd grade and have experience with common core mathematics.

I have taught ESL in multiple countries as well as taught many students in my classes who were English Language Learners. My mom was an ESL teacher for many years and I would help by tutoring her students over the summers when I was in high school and college.

I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade with multiple curriculums and diverse learners.

I have success with teacher Kindergarteners and preschoolers the basic phonics that leads to reading, as well as developing phonics skills in 1st and 2nd graders that help them make the transition to fluency.

I would love to meet you and your child and develop a plan together that will lead to success for you! Every child learns differently, so it is important to figure out what is best suited for your child's strengths in order to make sure we are successful.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
