I am a biology graduate with a minor in psychology in the process of pursuing a PhD in my field and attaining a teaching position at university in order to share my enthusiasm and experience with future generations. I am passionate about the sciences and love the pursuit of knowledge. I feel that one of the best qualities in an educator is to instill a sense of excitement and relevancy in the subject at hand, and to foster thoughtful questions in students that can be explored so that the answer is attained rather than given.

During my time as an undergraduate in college, I assisted Professor John Roden at SOU in both field and laboratory settings, which built up my skills working independently and created my strong work ethic and attention to detail (2011 - 2013). After graduating I participated in several research projects with both local Bureau of Land Management managers and Professor Stewart Janes at SOU, where I was required to interact with various landowners and individuals. This experience built upon my communication skills and I learned how to address the needs of individuals of different backgrounds. Over the course this last year I have participated in six different research projects. As a result of this work, I will be a co-author on three papers.

Because of this background I have the necessary skills to assist in the education of students struggling or further interested in Biology, Ecology, Zoology, Botany, and Psychology. I have the real world experience to bring interest and relevance to these subjects and the passion to inspire.

I am available to tutor between the hours of 9am and 7pm. I charge an hourly rate of $45.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your studies!
