UNIVERSITY OF PUERTO RICO (Philosophy)
Central European University (Master's)
I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Philosophy and have a deep love for teaching and learning. Moreover, I have extensive intercultural experience given my travels throughout Eastern and Western Europe, as well as my time as a student in Madrid, Spain during my Bachelor degree (6 months) and in Budapest, Hungary during my Masters (2 years).
My teaching experience is the product of voluntary work as well as mandatory work. All throughout high-school and my early years in college I would frequently help classmates with math and logic classes up to the level of Calculus 1 courses. Additionally, at the graduate level, Philosophy students are repeatedly required to give single undergraduate and graduate classes. Hence, I have good experience both in one-on-one tutoring as well as group teaching, which is very useful for developing the skills needed to determine how to adapt one's teaching style to the individual one works with.
I majored in "Math and Education" for 2 years during my Bachelors degree before transferring to Philosophy. I offered tutoring in the subject since my high-school years and always enjoyed finding the easiest explanation for helping classmates understand the subjects that they found the most difficult.
I am fully bilingual (English/Spanish) due to my upbringing as a child born in Madison, WI but who mostly grew up in Puerto Rico. I have native-level Spanish speaking skills and exclusively worked in Spanish during my Bachelor degree. However, I also have good writing skills in both languages since I did all my Masters degree work in English, such as my Masters thesis, essays, and presentations. Also, I studied one year of ancient Latin during my undergraduate studies, which helped cement a better understanding of the foundations of both Spanish and English grammar.
I am happy to teach any level of understanding of the topics to be discussed. I am very patient and like to help students to follow through the foundations of any subject so that they can better understand the more complex elements that rest on those foundations.
Please feel free to write me an email. I will be glad to answer any questions.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am fully bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish at a native level. I have strong writing skills due to my undergraduate and graduate studies in Philosophy (writing essays and presentations in English all throughout my life and writing my Masters thesis in English). Moreover, I have experience in tutoring and teaching given my voluntary work as a maths and logic tutor since my high-school years, and my mandatory work giving philosophy presentations and classes as part of my graduate studies.
I am a native Spanish speaker, born in Madison, WI and raised in Puerto Rico; and I completed all my studies in high-school and Bachelors degree in Spanish speaking institutions (with a strong focus on English as a second language). Hence, I have strong foundations in translating between Spanish and English. Moreover, given that my major study topic was Philosophy, I have very strong writing skills in both Spanish and English (my Masters degree was done in an English speaking institution, including my Masters thesis). Also, I have tutored and offered classes all throughout high-school and college on maths, logic and philosophy.
