I have a B.A. in education and a wide variety of professional experience working with children of all ages. In addition, I am a certified sign language interpreter. My specialties are helping students with reading and writing, English and the humanities, ASL, and working with special needs students. I have also tutored students who are high achieving academically but need assistance with focusing and completing assignments.
I enjoy the student-centered pace that tutoring allows. Building a rapport with students and helping them grow in confidence and become more excited about learning are what making tutoring rewarding for me. I look forward to hearing from you!
I have five years of experience as a sign language interpreter, as well as having worked with Deaf adults with developmental disabilities.
I have spent 7 years of my adult life in college and am well versed in the demands and expectations in academia. I naturally gravitate toward the humanities and am known among my friends as the go to editor for applications and papers. I worked on the school newspaper while in high school and served as the editor. I also have tutoring experience teaching children reading and writing skills and am passionate about literacy.
I look forward to talking with you! Hello!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
