I completed my PhD in Comparative Literature with an emphasis on Latin American Studies from UC Los Angeles in 2009. While at UCLA I taught courses in Comparative Literature (Great Books), Writing Composition and Spanish. From 2010-2014 I was Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish at Whitman College. I am currently Visiting Assistant Professor of Humanities at Lewis and Clark College, where I teach courses in the Core curriculum and Spanish. My objective is to connect with students and stimulate intellectual curiosity, which I believe is the key to learning.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
