“**Exceptional!!**”

I have a passion for people development and learning. A technical aspect of this spans math and science. With more than 20 years in various industries (high tech, solar, automotive, document, and chemical) and a solid academic background, I have applied many of the lessons and continue to learn. I am eager to help students and junior professionals

Roberto is approved to conduct lessons through Wyzant Online. Wyzant Online allows students and tutors to work remotely via video, audio, and collaborative whiteboard tools. For more information about how online tutoring works, check out Wyzant Online.

Roberto was extremely professional. He requested my syllabus prior to our visit and was scheduled for an hour. He stayed much longer and made sure he went through my son's entire study guide for his Honors Chemistry test. My son felt much more comfortable and prepared. We will definitely continue to use Roberto as a tutor for our son.

Roberto is a very knowledgeable and patient tutor. He is tutoring my son for AP Chemistry and Algebra 2. I highly recommend him.

Roberto has gone out of his way to help our son meet educational goals in pre-calculus. He is excited about math and learning and is good with our teenage son. I definitely recommend him. After only two sessions our son went from frustrated and confused (before getting a tutor -- and only having a low grade in his class) to getting an A on a big test -- AND feeling like he totally understood the material. That's a pretty amazing turn-around. We completely recommend Roberto.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

As an engineering professional, I have had a broad range of application to elementary, high school and college level math. Throughout my career, I have mentored and taught junior professionals in these topics, used these concepts in designs, and applied them in solving production problems. My approach is structured through the use of critical thinking. I introduce the problem, scope it, address known information, and explain the appropriate technique to get to the answer. Next, the student does it on their own as many types as needed. Knowledge is important; understanding is critical. In other words, knowing a formula, theorem, or method is a start; understanding how to apply it is the ultimate goal.
