I grew up homeschooled until 9th grade. Through high school, I attended both a private boarding school and a public high school, which has given me a range of experience. I pursued my undergraduate degree in English, because I have always been passionate about reading and writing. I attended Sonoma State University because it was cost-effective and close to home.
After I finished my undergraduate degree, I moved to Oklahoma for graduate school, where I studied Educational Leadership, with a concentration in College Student Development. Essentially, it was a degree that mixed Leadership, Business, Psychology and Sociology. I believe in the importance of education and the way it allows access to a greater number of opportunities in life.
I have traveled across the country and internationally on a number of occasions - these experiences have broadened my depth of knowledge.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
