I have taught in both private and public Oregon high schools and universities for the past twenty years, and am qualified to teach Japanese 1, 2, 3, 4 levels (Certified), International Baccalaureate (Certified) and AP levels. I have several years experience teaching adults at Dartmouth College summer intensive program, and I've conducted numerous multi-week tours of Japan including homestays. I can help students who just want to prep for IB exam, or I can develop an individual learning program suited to your specific needs.

Mitsuko is very dedicated to teaching Japenese and making the most with each session. My daughter loves working with her and is eager to see her again for her next lesson. I am so glad we connected and took this opportunity to learn from her. Thank you Mitsuko!
She helped me out with my homework and easily pin-pointed my struggles in Japanese without me even having to tell her. She was very gracious and kind and really helped my grade, and my confidence. I will hopefully be seeing her regularly in my next course! Highly recommended!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
