Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

MCAT

I have many years experience tutoring the chemistry portion of the MCAT while a graduate student at the University of Minnesota. I have taught general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry as a professor, and so have extensive knowledge of the subject matter as well as many years experience teaching and tutoring chemistry. My knowledge of acid-base chemistry is especially strong and this allows me to be very effective as an MCAT tutor as students typically have the most difficulty with this aspect of the MCAT.

Organic Chemistry

My Ph.D. courses include advanced organic chemistry courses. I tutored undergraduate organic chemistry while I was a graduate student at the University of Minnesota. And finally, I taught organic chemistry lab as a visiting professor at the College of Wooster, and organic chemistry lab and lecture while a tenure-track professor at Lyndon State College.

After only two sessions, my performance in class has improved immensely, and I am extremely grateful for the resou
