Noah began playing the guitar at age 14, studying with the late, Northwest guitar legend Bob Simmons. After graduating High School, he attended Southern Oregon University for two years, studying guitar and music. In 2000, he moved to Moscow, Idaho, and began studying at the Lionel Hampton School of Music, University of Idaho. There he studied from 2000-2005, when he graduated with a degree in Guitar Performance. Courses/Ensembles that he participated in there included Jazz Band(s), Jazz Choir(s), Music Theory, Jazz Theory, Ear Training, Guitar Pedagogy, Music and Civilization, and many others. During this time, he co-founded seminal Moscow, Idaho-based band Oracle Shack, touring extensively throughout the Northwest. They have had the privilege of sharing the stage with such acts as Blues Traveler, Bernie Worrell, Taarka, Flowmotion, Eleven Eyes, Darin Schaffer, Free Peoples, and many others. Noah has also released two solo CD’s and has been teaching guitar lessons for the last 5 years. His teaching style is laid back and friendly, yet effective and supportive. He has many satisfied former students and many have gone on to study music in college. Many references available upon request.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taken two years of ear training as an undergraduate music major. I have sung in choirs for over 7 years. I have a firm grasp of what ear training is, as well as how to achieve results in this area.
Hello! I have an undergraduate degree in Guitar Performance from the University of Idaho. I am also one week away from completing my master's degree in Guitar Performance from Portland State University. I have been teaching guitar lessons for over 10 years.
I have a Masters Degree in Music. I have taken college-level (undergraduate and graduate) music history courses that cover all of music history as well as classes that cover specific time periods including Romantic, Classical, Early and Late 20th-Century. I have never received less than a B in any college course I took.
I have played soccer since I was 5. I have coached at the Junior Varsity level twice. I was also a soccer referee for more than 8 years. I can help a player succeed and improve in soccer.
