I recently graduated from Linfield College with a degree in elementary education. While at Linfield I also played baseball and enjoyed working with students of all ages. During my undergrad, I had the opportunity to spend over 300 hours in elementary, middle, and high school classrooms. I designed, implemented, and assessed various lessons and units within the McMinnville school district. I also was the head summer baseball coach for Corvallis high school the past 3 summers.
In the past 5 months since I graduated from Linfield, I have worked in a behavior support position at an elementary school in McMinnville. I work directly with the principal and counselor to assist many different students who are struggling in school. I love working with and helping these students be successful. I have also been coaching at McMinnville High School and tutored a middle school student who struggled in public school. I am very excited to become a tutor and help students however they may need.
I have taken 3 teaching elementary math classes in my undergrad as well as designing, implementing, and assessing a math unit. After my math unit I was able to give a "reengagement lesson" for students who struggled. I also started as a math major before I decided that I wanted to teach multiple subjects at the elementary level.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
