I graduated with a BS in Business Administration, completing a double major in finance and accounting, and graduated with honors. I also earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Portland. I went back to Portland State and earned another BS, this time in psychology, which again included more training in statistics and research methods. I am absolutely passionate about education, and want to share that enthusiasm and knowledge of the learning process with you.
I am well trained in investment theory and practice, financial markets, corporate finance, managerial economics, entry level economics, intermediate macroeconomics and microeconomics, money and banking, managerial economics, and have taken PhD level financial theory. I also successfully completed level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst examination, the premier designation in the investment profession. My business career has been an eclectic mix of accounting and operations, inventory management, and customer service in the footwear/apparel and financial services industries.
