A lot of my students on Wyzant are either undergrads struggling in their CS classes or working adults with an interest in Unity game development or computer programming. Students like working with me because I am a student myself. I freshly remember all of the pain points of your CS classes and will help you navigate through all of the tricky concepts that are causing you trouble. I am very patient and am used to explaining a bunch of CS concepts clearly and in different ways.

I've got a lot of experience in tutoring object oriented programming, The .NET Framework (MVC, C#, WPFs), data structures, pointers, Unity game development, and more!

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

I worked with Tyler on Unity projects with C# code. He is very thorough in his explanations and won’t move on until you fully understand what he is saying. He is very patient and also always has multiple ideas for how to approach something or troubleshoot a problem. Tyler and I have always gotten a lot done for the time he’s spent tutoring me.

Fantastic C# Tutor

I asked Tyler to tutor me in C#. He asked for a sample of what I was trying to work on. He responded very quickly after that and said no problem. He was very knowledgeable and immediately was able to figure out where I was at and teach me how to improve. There wasn't anything I asked that stumped him and he even showed me a few more shortcuts to help speed up my coding process in the future. I would highly recommend Tyler P!

Enthusiastic and accommodating

I am doing online tutoring with Tyler in C#. I appreciated the fact that he discussed how I liked to learn and how best to structure our lessons. He also shows me multiple ways to solve specific programming problems, and discusses the strengths and weaknesses of each. He helps me to articulate my own ideas and work toward a programming solution. Tyler has an organized and structured approach to tutoring. The coolest thing for me, though, is his enthusiasm. He clearly likes the materials and seems to enjoy teaching too. It makes me feel comfortable. One hour with Tyler did more for my understanding than semesters of programming instruction in college.

Great teacher

Easy going, and a great teacher. He understands the beats between teacher and student well. Never condescending or bossy, but can tell when you are confused without mentioning it, and repeats the subject to make sure you understand. :)

Kritsia, 3 lessons with Tyler

Patient and Thorough

He has never encountered a problem he could not solve and takes time to explain different ways to approach a question. One of the best things is that he does not go incredibly fast, so you can digest the information as you go along. Without a doubt an extremely knowledgeable and thorough tutor.

Juan, 2 lessons with Tyler

Thorough

He went through the entire project I was struggling with and explained everything in an easily digestible manner. He was very patient and never condescending. I would definitely recommend him as a computer science tutor for anyone struggling.

Excellent Tutor

Tyler is the type of tutor students interested in long-term learning will enjoy. Tyler was patient and knowledgeable. He walks through solutions step-by-step so the student understands. On complex questions, he encourages trial and error from the student and works as a team to find solutions. I will contact Tyler again without hesitation. Keep it up !
