Hi, I am Shubeena. I graduated with a PhD in Biochemistry. I have always been interested in teaching. I have tutored and mentored many students during my grad school. I have served as a tutor for general biology and biochemistry courses in the past. Students usually enjoy the way I teach. I can make their learning process smooth and fun and contribute to their academic achievements.

During my PhD, I gained a lot of teaching experience as a part of the collaborative teaching program between University of Central Arkansas (UCA) and my graduate school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. I received an excellent opportunity to teach classes on “Biology for General Education” at undergraduate level in UCA. The class consisted of approximately 120 students. I collaborated with the course director in order to cover a part of this undergraduate course through my lectures. In addition, I prepared assignments for students and was responsible for grading their work. For teaching methods/approach, I usually like to use lesson plans, prepare materials in advance, deconstruct difficult chapters or biological terminologies into easily understandable materials. I believe with this experience and passion I can prove to be an excellent tutor.

I have background knowledge and qualifications in the following areas/disciplines of Science: Biochemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Genetics and Microbiology.
