I worked as special education assistant in Public schools for 7 years providing the core and general curriculum to the kids which involves any skills related to elementary math and language Arts. I have experience working with children with ADD/ADHD, Aspergers, Autism, and any special needs. I have a certificate degree in Autism and Neurodevelopmental disorders. My Masters degree which I finish in 4 months is in Human Behavior. I also have my own place to run the classes in case the parents can not provide one. Thanks!

Handwriting

I am qualified, because I have experience working with children with disabilities and without disabilities, helping them with their writing skills. Handwriting might be a challenge to any child. I have helped children by using methods like "Writing Without Tears" and "Kummon." I worked as special education assistant in Public schools, and it was very overwhelming to see the amount of children that need help to develop handwriting. During my work in schools I had the opportunity to use the method "Writing Without Tears" which is an excellent method to help kids to improve and develop handwriting. T o be able to teach using that method, I had to take workshops and classes to make sure that I understood the methodology and its application.

Phonics

I have experience working with children with ADD/ADHD, Aspergers,Autism,Dyslexia,phonics,and special needs. , I worked as special education assistant in Public schools, and teaching/tutoring interventionist. In a Kindergarten class I worked for 7 years which gave me lots of experience working with kids. I also have prior experience working with school age children.

ADHD

ADHD can be a challenging disorder, and it requires understanding, patience and knowledge to be able to help a child. I have experience working with children with ADD/ADHD. I have a certificate degree in Neuro developmental disorders, which includes ADHD. I worked as special education assistant in Public schools for about eight years, teaching many children who presented ADHD. My degree in psychology helps me to find the necessary tools to help the kids dealing with ADHD and its implications.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

I have 20 years of experience working with children with Autism. My certificate degree in Autism gives me the necessary Knowledge that I need to help the students to succeed! I worked as special education assistant for 8 years in Public schools, helping children on the autism spectrum to achieve their academic, social and emotional goals. I also provide in home services to help children with autism to change behavior and to succeed in all cognitive and behavioral areas. I tutor children with autism everyday!
