My professional journey is enriched by my role as a Program Manager in Fundraising at a Tier 1 Research Institution, where I have honed exceptional skills in administration and professional writing, including securing private and federal grants. In addition to my administrative expertise, I have mentored student workers who have gone on to become successful administrative writers, teachers, and managerial professionals, reflecting my commitment to developing the next generation of leaders.

I have a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the University of the Pacific, a Master of Music in Composition from University of Oregon, and am currently working toward my PhD in Music Composition with a concurrent Master of Art in Music Theory at University of Oregon. I have 10+ years in teaching music composition in both the classroom and private lesson setting. I have a particular focus in art music with multicultural influences and have been premiered internationally, but I have knowledge and composed in many other styles.

Wonderful Knowledge of 20th Century Music Theory

I spent a long time trying to find a tutor that was qualified and knowledgable about music theory to help me in my 5th semester theory course: 20th Century Musical Analysis. Sarah is that tutor!!! She guided me through my assignment with ease and helped me make musical connections based on the knowledge I already had. She is clearly a talented musician and a talented tutor as well.
