! Due to health problems, I am temporarily unavailable for tutoring.!
For many years I've tutored math, been employed as a mathematician, and worked on mathematical discoveries. I've worked wonders with students one on one using two deep principles:
(1) If you understand the math, you will easily remember the formulas and know how to apply them.
(2) Solving complex math problems involves breaking them up into small easy steps (which is teachable).
I teach students how to tap their inner genius to simplify and solve math problems, and when they get stuck, I play math detective to find out where that individual needs an improved understanding, which is often in the basics. Once a student "gets" it, whatever "it" is, self-confidence soars and math become easier and even fun, not only for that class but also into the future.
