Cypress (MultiMedia Design)
I have worked as a freelance photographer for years and have extensive experience as a digital tech working for many pro commercial photographers in a variety of genres on many high visibility assignments. I have been hired by many former instructors and photographers to tutor digital practices and Photoshop and am still called in as a consultant from time to time because of my knowledge, experience, patience and ability to make even the most apprehensive student comfortable proficient with Photoshop. I have also work as a retoucher on a variety of projects for diverse clients from personal art projects to advertising for familiar brands in the fashion, automotive and financial industries, for clients such as Guess, the Irvine Company, Hyatt, GM, Honda, Kawasaki to name a few.
I have recently gone back to school to broaden my reach and am currently studying Multimedia Design and Marketing at Fullerton College, where I have become very familiar with the entire Adobe Creative Suite, Video editing software and many related softwares. I have also attended many Adobe sponsored seminars and workshops to further my familiarity with their products, and pride myself on staying current with updates and techniques. Former students and employers of mine often call me for help or Photoshop guidance over the phone.
I have worked with Macs for years, both for myself and on location and in studio as a digital tech.
I began working as a photographer with film just before the advent of digital. As an early adopter of digital photography I was asked by many old school film photographers to guide them through the transition from pure film to pure digital and found that I was not only good at this but enjoyed helping others. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I've owned Macs for over 12 years; from Mac Books to Mac Pros and everything in between. I've worked with many photographers and artists over this time period and over time have become their first go-to guy when they have computer problems or need questions answered. As a production digital tech I was responsible for keeping the computers running efficiently.
I have had twenty years as a working photographer, and have been published internationally. My portfolio is available upon request. I have assisted many photographers from wedding shooters to Automotive and Architectural Photographers to world class Fashion Icons.
