Hello! Who said English has to be boring?! Words are ideas and self-expression, and they are an important part of our lives, from school to sports to friends and family. I have a passion for words, and I like sharing that passion and making words and literature accessible to students of all ages. Hello! Who said English has to be boring?! Words are ideas and self-expression, and they are an important part of our lives, from school to sports to friends and family. I have a passion for words, and I like sharing that passion and making words and literature accessible to students of all ages. I have 7 years of teaching experience, as well as experience tutoring high school and middle school students. This includes teaching everything from basic reading, vocabulary, and grammar skills to advanced literary analysis, essay writing, and test preparation. I use students' personal interests and ideas as a starting point for helping them take what they already know and use it to provide context and relevance for their reading and writing.

Moreover, my passion for English is augmented by a love of the outdoors, the martial arts, sports, and film. Through conversations about a range of topics, students and I find a common ground on which to connect and which act as the platform upon which they can develop the English skills they need for success.

Charity works very well with both my daughter and son

She has helped both of my children complete detailed Language Arts and Social Studies essays and has taught them the skills they will need to be able to work independently on this type of project in the future. I would recommend Charity for students looking for help in their writing assingments.
