I am provisionally certified to teach Special Education Mild/Moderate and English 6-12. I have been a substitute teacher, Personal Care Aide for students with disabilities, and private tutor. I have one year to go to complete my masters in Special Education. I love reading and want children to love it to. I believe all children can learn to read.
My bachelor's degree is in English and I switched to Education for my masters so that I could learn to teach English and reading.
I chose Special Education as my Education major. I have already completed 18 credit hours and will have 24 completed by May 2016. 12 of these will be in Special Education an the remaining 12 are education courses.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
