My name is Aaron B. and I'm currently finishing a PhD in Philosophy. I just moved to the area and I'm currently working as a substitute teacher at Cascia Hall, Holland Hall, and the Tulsa Public School system. I have 5 years of teaching experience at the university level (both as a teaching assistant and as an instructor), and I specialize in the humanities, reading comprehension, writing skills, study skills, and college essay editing. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a master's in Philosophy and I am currently finishing my dissertation for my PhD. As a student of philosophy, I have read, studied, and taught many theological and religious writings. I am familiar with religious exegesis and the basics of the Old and New Testament. I was a teaching assistant for Phil 107: Philosophy of Religion and Phil 111: Existence and Freedom (a course that dealt with many religious issues in 20th century thought).
I have a masters in Philosophy and I am currently finishing my PhD. I have been a teaching assistant and instructor of record at Binghamton University for over 5 years now in 10+ courses. I have worked with students one-on-one in office hours for years, teaching them how to study, read for comprehension, and how to annotate and mark up texts. As a PhD student writing a dissertation, I also have to exercise all of these skills on a daily basis.
