Oklahoma State University (Educational Psych.)
My name is Kelsey and I'd like to be your tutor! I am an education major working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Educational Psychology. I have a background in Literature and History. I'm also a professional artist and would love to tutor you on any of these subjects. If you have questions about subjects I tutor in, just ask! I've tutored for the ACT, SAT, and for art and architecture students. I've worked as an instructor at a Non-Profit for over a year and I have experience teaching students of all levels and needs.
I look forward to meeting you!
I loved reading growing up but struggled with English papers and projects. I know what it is like to grapple with Shakespeare and curse Oxford commas. I did extremely well on my ACT and SAT.
I've taught art for a Non-Profit and as a part of my Art Therapy courses for two years. Art can be frustrating and freeing- depending on how you approach it.
I own a commission art business so my hours are flexible and I take a people-oriented approach to my tutoring! Let's get to work! Hello,
My name is Kelsey and I'd like to be your tutor! I am an education major working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Educational Psychology. I have a background in Literature and History. I'm also a professional artist and would love to tutor you on any of these subjects. If you have questions about subjects I tutor in, just ask!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I've used my cosmetology experience to tutor high school students in both special effects makeup and stage makeup. I've also assisted women at Ulta in overflow prom makeup reservations and training other overflow staff. I believe that teaching cosmetology students how the products they use work as well as how to properly use them.
I've almost completed my studio art minor and have extensive experience teaching drawing to students ages 8-adult. I've taught a beginners drawing class, comic book drawing workshops, still life drawing classes and illustration tutoring. I've also helped architecture students improve their skills and learn the basics of drawing without having to enroll in a university course outside of their major.
I've taken painting classes since I was in the fifth grade and I currently make a portion of my income via commissioned paintings. I've tutored almost a dozen students enrolled in painting classes at OSU as well as high school students. I teach painting to Special Needs students once a week and painting workshops as needed.
