In middle school I fell in love with math, it was the only class I would get consistently good grades in, and it was the only class I would look forward to on a daily basis. English has been a subject I have learned to love. I didn't have the best English teachers in middle school, so I wasn't a big fan of it until my junior year, when I had a great teacher who helped me understand English and learn to enjoy reading and writing.
All through high school I had helped people in math, but it wasn't until my senior year that I started to think of teaching as a career. I had to teach an intro to marketing class because there wasn't enough qualified teacher, so that made me realize how much I liked helping people learn things. I've helped my little brother in math from 5th grade up till now and he is currently in geometry. I've been helping all my friends in college with their Algebra homework and they've been all pushing me to be a tutor.

I really enjoy math, always have and always will. I've never had below an 85 in any math class. I know how to explain math to people who hate math. I will do everything I can to make you enjoy math!
I have a lot of energy and I'm very social, so I will try to make the sessions both educational and fun! If you have any food allergies, let me know, because I will probably bring snacks! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
