My first introduction to tutoring was under graduate kinesiology. I had just finished my bachelor's degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Many students in the Department of Human Performance were struggling to understand the material. My previous academic advisor called me and asked if I would be interested in becoming the first ever Kinesiology tutor? I enthusiastically said yes! Knowing that I was the first ever Kinesiology tutor meant that I had to develop methods from scratch and take good notes for the future tutors. My first year was a huge success! It was then and there that I decided I truly enjoyed assisting college students in their pursuit of knowledge and understanding of human Performance and its applications.
The next year I became the first ever Supplemental Instructor for the Department of Human Science.

Every one needs a coach. Professional athletes have a coach. Michael Jordan, Troy Aikman, Babe Ruth, etc. All had a coach. Don't be afraid to ask for assistance, not because you're weak, but because you want to remain strong!
