I started tutoring when I was a substitute teacher in Mustang public schools. I took on clients in a variety of Math, English and History classes. Before teaching I wrote regularly for The Oklahoma Gazette, and in college edited a section of the OU Daily campus paper. So my specialty is in English, reading comprehension skills and literature. However, I can do early Algebra and Geometry too, and in college received an A in a difficult Physics class.
Now I live in Oklahoma City and continue to write and teach, as a substitute in OKC Public Schools and as an adjunct instructor at Moore-Norman Technology Institute where I teach blogging and podcasting to adults.
I've proven myself to be a natural working with students. As a tutor, I'm patient and easy to get along with.
I enjoy solving high school level math problems.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
