Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 2

College algebra tutor for 3 years

Biology

I have earned a Bachelor's degree in biochemistry.

Chemistry

I am a Summa Cum Laude graduate with a Biochemistry degree.

Differential Equations

I have taken two differential equations classes at two different institutions and passed with a mark of A. Due to the fact that most physics equations are in differential form, the majority of my physics bachelor's degree coursework involved the mathematics of solving differential equations. Furthermore, I believe my strong mathematical background, charismatic teaching style, and experience with this topic makes me highly qualified to tutor this subject.

Discrete Math

I have completed this course as part of my undergraduate curriculum for a mathematics B.S. and utilize the ideas related to the logic of proving mathematical theorems on a daily basis. I have tutored this subject before and am paid by the University of Oklahoma to do so. My style of teaching for this subject would be to guide the student through the logic of proving and how to make the mathematical connection to move though the proof. I am a skilled teacher for I am able to explain one concept in a variety of different ways.

Finite Math

I am currently a mathematics PhD student at the University of Oklahoma and I am passionate about mathematics. I participate in mathematical activities on a daily basis and thus I am very fluent in the language of finite math.

Genetics

I have a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, have worked two paid internships in molecular biology, and have extensive experience both academically and practically when it comes to knowledge about genetics. Genetics was also one of the core courses for my biochemistry degree.

Geometry

I was a Math tutor for three years, including Geometry.

Linear Algebra

I have taken the calculation based and mathematically abstract and rigorous versions of this class for my bachelor's degree in mathematics. Furthermore, I have practical experiences in utilizing linear algebra in my quantum mechanics (two semesters) classes and other physics classes has solidified my understanding of this essential mathematical discipline. I utilized the notions of linear algebra in my paid summer internship at Jefferson National Laboratory in the summer of 2015 to conduct theoretical nuclear physics research. Furthermore, I believe my advanced education in the topic and charismatic teaching style would benefit my student's educational goals.

Organic Chemistry

I have a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, which involved taking two semesters of organic chemistry (and general chemistry) lecture and lab. I have also conducted paid summer research projects within the realms of biochemistry and cancer cell biology at Southern Nazarene University and at the University of Oklahoma's College of Medicine respectively. Furthermore, I was a supplemental instructor in the department of Chemistry at Southern Nazarene University and a lab assistant for two years. I graduated Summa Cum Laude at this institution in 2014.

Soccer

I have played competitive varsity soccer for four years. Furthermore, I have been involved with being a soccer referee for three years. thus, I not only have the physical ability to perform dribbles, shots, passes, and crosses but I also have an overall concrete knowledge of the rules and structure of the game.

Spanish

My Minor degree is in Spanish Language. I am a Spanish to English and English to Spanish Medical Translator.
