Hi, my name is Natalie. I am currently about to begin my student teaching semester before I graduate in December with a BS in Elementary Education. I have worked a lot with 4th grade, but anticipate teaching younger students after I graduate. I adore reading, geography, math, and life science. Through my experience with the College of Education at the University of Oklahoma, I am prepared with ideas and understandings of how to best help students one-on-one.
Math is one of my strongest subjects. I have tutored kindergarten math with simple content such as number recognition and writing numerals, and I have also tutored 4th graders with different methods of multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. I have a plethora of game ideas and manipulatives to help students learn through examples.
I have tutored a 1st grader in reading, and particularly focused on sight words, writing, and letter sounds. I love to search the library for fun books that capture students' interests. I still have assessments from my literacy training at the University of Oklahoma, which allows for me to understand where a student is at in their reading, as well as how to best help them.
I have a lot of experience working one-on-one with children, and am currently building up my knowledge to help me in the classroom after I graduate in December. I am continually growing with my students, so I find they help give me a fresh perspective on learning and allow me to adapt to different situations.
I love to learn and inspire students to love learning. I really like to have fun, which is why my ideas are continually growing. I'm experience in many elementary grades, and really enjoy teaching! Contact me if you have any questions!
