If you are looking for assistance in improving reading and writing skills, making better grades in English or history classes, or understanding religious studies at any level, I have experience that can help you. I have degrees in journalism and human relations, and a master of divinity, all of which have given me a varied background in covering humanities, English, and social science courses.
In addition to having worked in journalism and chaplaincy, I have worked as a substitute teacher from 2011 to 2013. I am also a mother of two young adult children, so I have experience working with students who are a variety of ages. I look forward to working with you and your child to help not only in making the best grades possible, but to actually learn and understand the usefulness of what is being learned.
I have extensive writing experience as a journalist, in writing papers at all academic levels through master's degree level. I love to read and read a wide range of material, from popular fiction to classics, to history, biography, and religious studies. I have written for newspapers in Norman, OK, Miami, FL, and Kansas City, MO. I know about writing "tight and bright."

I hold a Master's of Divinity degree from Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, graduating in 2008 with honors. Course work included introductions to the Hebrew Bible and to the New Testament, latter prophets and writings, First Corinthians, and introduction to Biblical education. I have taught Sunday school in churches in Norman and in Liberty, MO, at the elementary, middle school, and adult levels.
I have a master of divinity degree from Phillips Theological Seminary. Here, I studied Christian history, history of Christianity in the United States, theological themes in the contemporary novel, preaching, ethics, and a variety of other coursework. Though the faith I obviously know most about is Christianity (specifically mainline Protestantism), I also know some things about Catholic history and polity, and I have taken coursework that looks at various ways Christians can choose to look at other faiths theologically, which in turn opened the door to learning about other faith traditions.
