I am currently a teacher for Muskogee Public Schools. I have an array of knowledge that I am willing to lend my time in order to help those understand concepts which I love.
I approach to learning as well as teaching, due to my fluctuation between video, audio, and kinesthetic learning approaches. Regardless of the subject, each time I tutor a person, I make sure to incorporate all three of these learning techniques, because I believe that a tutor can also learn from the one whom he/she is tutoring and enhance what is already known. I use a system in which I will work with you on an example and go step by step with you, and then I will give a new problem and expect the student I am tutoring to go step by step with me. As a current biochemistry major at Baylor University, I am required by my degree plan to take courses in the biological sciences. Upon entering my undergraduate institution, I was granted credit for a semester of undergraduate biology (lecture and lab) due to my outstanding SAT Subject Test score in the subject.
I was in the Gifted Program for all my academic career of my youth. During this time, I developed study skills which have allowed me to maintain an nearly perfect GPA as well as balance my life and my studies. I take studying a step beyond flash cards and make it something worthwhile and fulfilling.
