I thank you in advance for considering me for this very important task- assisting your student/ loved one in being his or her best. I have taught general science, chemistry and math at Middle and High school levels. I have also owned and operated a small private school (home school) K-12 for up to ten students, for several years. I thoroughly enjoy interactive learning where I utilize the student's interests and knowledge to gain confidence and assimilate information and learn new information and skills. I will always encourage ownership of one's education and the need to be always learning. Any investment in oneself is a GREAT and WISE investment.
I have received training in teaching through a student's learning style strength. I will do my best to determine and utilize the student's learning style to help him/her "learn how to learn."
I look forward to working with your student in the near future. Should I not be what you are looking for,I sincerely wish you all success in your search and beyond.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
