I am a Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a very competitive GPA. Engineering Dean's Honor List and Academic Honor Roll multiple semesters.
I have a strong background in all math areas. I have received a 4.0 for all mathematic courses taken through college. I have most experience tutoring pre-algebra, algebra I and II, math for ACT/SAT, college algebra, calculus, and basic chemistry. My current students are in middle school, high school students, home-school, and could college!
In addition to tutoring, I have had many other opportunities to work with children of various ages. I have nannied off and on for 5 years+ from ages 2-13 and volunteered regularly at day cares serving special needs children. I also volunteer at the OU Medical Center! I love spending time with children! They are so energetic and enthusiastic! I am outgoing and sociable but very responsible. When it comes to school I mean business! I would say my biggest flaw is perfection. I spend almost all my time studying during the school year, but enjoy playing the piano, cooking, reading, traveling, and I love to scrapbook! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
