I was born and raised in Japan with a basic comprehension of Japanese culture and the language. Upon returning to the United States, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts on Political Science for Baylor University. After five years of studying Art and exhibiting on my own, I entered the graduate program in Art at the University of Oklahoma where I obtained an MFA in Painting and Sculpture. I've been a practicing artist in Oklahoma ever since.

While math is not my primary field, the strength of my general education has given me the tools to convey mathematical concepts to students at least k through 6th and to those seeking the GED. Perhaps even more so because I don't come from a typical mathematical background.
