Hey there, my name is Joshua. I am 19 years old and I am enrolled at TCC. I am currently looking for ways to earn some extra income for school and I plan on getting married this year too. I currently have a 4.0 GPA in College and graduate Highschool with a 3.78 weighted GPA. I was always one grade ahead in math class and I completed College...
Hey there, my name is Joshua. I am 19 years old and I am enrolled at TCC. I am currently looking for ways to earn some extra income for school and I plan on getting married this year too. I am really good at math. Algebra comes easiest to me, but I can always relearn something as well. I can do Elementary, Middle, and early Highschool Math. I currently have a 4.0 GPA in College and graduate Highschool with a 3.78 weighted GPA. I was always one grade ahead in math class and I completed College Algebra my senior year of High School.
From Middle School and on I was always 1 math class ahead of the rest of my grade. I stated Pre Pre Algebra in 6th Grade, Pre Algebra in 7th grade, Algebra 1 in 8th grade, Alegebra 2 in 10th grade and College Algebra my senior year. In between those I complete Geometry my 9th grade year and Pre Calculus my 11th grade year; however, I was not as successful on those areas as I was in Algebra and Elementary math classes.
I am just starting out, so I will be charging the lower average amount tutors charge per hour. I work during the day, but get off around the time that school ends. So, I would be arriving just in time for the kids to have gotten home, eaten a snack, and gotten ready for their lesson. I also took psychology my 11th grade year and got a 3 of 5 on the AP test which is a college level test. I say this because I understand that every kid is different and learns differently. Where flash cards may work with one student, writing it down may work for another. I am willing to explore the students learning needs and work with them on that as well as challenging their other needs occasionally. Being in college I know that not all professors will teach in all three ways: kinesthetic, auditory, and visually, which is why I find it important to train the other learning abilities.
