Hello, there! My name is Josh. Are you currently studying American Sign Language (ASL), majoring in Deaf Studies or simply wanting improve your sign language skills?

I am more than happy to help you with any of these goals as your Sign Language Tutor.

I have been a volunteer ASL interpreter (mostly in religious church settings) for about five years now. I have a degree in Deaf Studies, including coursework that covered interpreting, Deaf Culture, ASL Linguistics and Deaf advocacy.
Additionally, I also have passed the American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI) from Gallaudet University.

Over the course of several years, I have interpreted in various Christian church settings, catholic church settings and a few educational settings. I have also completed volunteer work as an advocate for my local Deaf community as a temporary resource coordinator for a local Deaf school. Lastly, I regularly participate in local Deaf events such as weekly Deaf coffee events and monthly Silent dinner events.
