Hello. My name is Lucas and I am a 24 year old private teacher. I graduated with honors from Miami University and am currently pursuing an M.A. at the University of Chicago. Outside of my job as a professional in-home instructor, I tutor elementary math and high school reading to struggling students as well as those with special needs. If you are one of these parents, I especially encourage you to message me. I am a firm believer that professional one-on-one instruction is the most effective method of education there is, especially for special needs students. Hiring a professional private instructor is much cheaper and more flexible than anything tutoring centers and school programs can offer.
Aside from having a B.A. in English, I have always loved teaching reading. Learning how to read is learning how to think, how to control one's mind. I am well-qualified to tutor non-special needs students who need help with reading as well.

What all of my special needs students (and non-special needs students) have ever needed was an invested, sympathetic teacher to personally and regularly engage with.
Message me with general questions and for references from my past and current students. My rate is negotiable depending on distance and hours requested. We will work together to create a plan tailored to y
