Hello my name is Bob and I have been involved in sports all my life. I played baseball, basketball and football. I also officiate for the Ohio High School Association, from middle school to the varsity level in football basketball and soccer. Besides teaching new officials to be basketball officials I am an assistant varsity coach for Warren Harding softball.
I have been a resident of Warren all my life, am married and have two children. Both played sports when they were in school and I coached them in baseball, softball and basketball.
As a coach I try to teach young people the sport at which they are participating in but also to get them ready for everyday life. We need to teach young adults respect in the game that they play as well as respect for their coaches and teammates. Playing sports is about having fun and competing, knowing what it's like to win and lose and how to react in certain situations. I try to teach fundamentals with drills, videos, and one on one participation.
I am available almost any time. Being retired I have a lot of time to teach. If you are willing to put the time and dedication in no matter what age then I can help you achieve your goal and be the best that you can be in whatever sport you like. And have fun doing it. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
