A recent summa cum laude graduate of Wittenberg University, I have over one hundred hours of tutoring experience as I worked as a writing tutor in the Wittenberg Writing Center, and a Spanish tutor in Wittenberg's Learning Language Lab. I also expanded my tutoring expertise by volunteering as an ESL tutor for a local non-profit organization.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I served as Writing Center tutor for three years, and passed a class entitled "Tutoring Techniques" in order to become qualified.
I also served as an English tutor through a non-profit organization called Welcome Springfield, where I developed and implemented lesson plans for English students.
