I love every minute of teaching, even when it is tough. I have been employed with The ESC of Lake Erie West for 16 years. I am certified and highly qualified for K-12 Math, Science, Social Studies and English.

My two, possible three, real loves are Math, Reading and technology. For the past 4 years I have been teaching Middle School, and have a good handle on all the new Common Core expectations. I am able to quickly assess what kids can and can't do, and get them back on track. This year my group of students have made major improvement in their math and reading comprehension, which is due to very strategic interventions and effort. Teaching is a partnership, and kids have to trust and know that the teacher is interested in helping them!

Common Core,

Common Core

I have fully embraced the New Common Core. My 5th and 7th grade students made it through the first round of testing. I do not have the results yet, however, I know that I had them prepared. The testing is much more rigorous in the area of being able to write and explain your answer vs. traditional bubble answers. I understand the publics frustration, and as an educator I do not "teach to the test". I have looked and taken all the tests for my grade level and then worked on incorporating strategies from the test into my daily teaching practices. From past OGT and OAA I knew my kiddos would not be familiar with 2 part questions, so we worked on that, and on extended responds, as well as reading a group of passages and seeing the common themes.

Algebra help for my son

Very good tutor. I normally send her problems of what my son needs help in and she has them all figured out step by step before the session. He walks away with a better understanding of the work once the tutoring session is over with.

Very Patient

She was very patient with my 5 year old and kept his attention very well, when asked how he liked her he said oh she was so nice and helped me. So shes a win for us.

Patience, 8 lessons with Leanne

My son is improving across the board because of her efforts!

She really takes the time to work with a student. She brings in several resources to tutor sessions to follow and track progress with students. She is kind and validating causing the student to be encouraged to push themselves in each session.
