I am uniquely qualified as a tutor. I have a B.A. in English and Communications Studies from Cedar Crest College. I am currently pursuing my M.Ed. and teaching license at Franciscan University of Steubenville.
I have tutoring experience in English and Math. I have worked in inner city schools with the America Reads program, as well as with special needs students tutoring reading and comprehension. I have also worked with adult students at the local community college, teaching in the Developmental Education department, particularly English.
I have experience tutoring online in English and ESL, as well as basic math and Algebra I.
When I work with students, I'm not following a scripted curriculum. Instead, I'm evaluating your particular strengths and weaknesses and developing *your* best strategy for learning.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
